The Bowery Mission has served the hungry and homeless in New York since 1879. Its neighborhood--The Bowery--has come to define the term “skid row.” In 2010, Five Q partnered with Douglas Shaw & Associates to redevelop the website for The Bowery Mission to incorporate a custom content management system and a complex online donation form tailored to the mission’s unique needs.
In addition, Five Q undertook Search Engine Optimization efforts that included keyword research and selection, meta-tag creation, and copywriting consulting. In the time since launch, traffic from search engines has more than doubled, with users staying on the website longer and visiting more pages.
Five Q also partnered with The Bowery Mission to build out a mobile-optimized version of the website, particularly to allow users to watch and listen media, read content, and make secure donations from a mobile device: http://m.bowery.org/
